Community Council Budget

At the meeting held on 15th January, 2019 Members set the budget for 2019-20 at £7680, a Band D property precept of £19.00. This is a reduction of £1.10 per year for a Band D property on 2018-19.

Grant Awarding Policy

A formal grant awarding policy has been adopted by the Community Council. Grants will be given to local groups and organisations providing direct benefit to the Council area. National organisations, with the exception of the Wales Air Ambulance, will not be considered. Full policy on the Council regulations page.

Empty Council House, Old Radnor

Do you live locally? Are you in need of housing? Powys County Council has a vacant Council house in Old Radnor. The property is currently undergoing renovation but to be considered you need to be on the PCC Housing Register. General Medical Services in Presteigne Medical Practice

Powys Teaching Health Board would like to inform you that as of 1st October 2017, the Health Board has awarded the vacant practice contract to Red Kite Healthcare Solutions who will be taking over the management for the provision of general medical services at Presteigne Medical Practice.

Lottery Grant

The Community Council is delighted to announce that thanks to a grant from the Big Lottery Awards for All Fund it will be able to purchase three defibrillators and heated cabinets for the area. The units will be sited on the outside of the three village halls – Kinnerton, Evenjobb and Walton.

Recycling of Plastic Film

Residents reminded by the County Council that plastic film will not be collected and should not be placed in recycling boxes.
